You pull the cap off to reveal the brush tip. Then, you hold the center of the pen itself and turn the base clockwise to have the brightener come up through the center of the brush tip. The first time, it takes 5-10 turns to come up through the brush. After that, just one turn, but each turn lasts a bit.

Hi Mrs. Y,
I hope that by now you have figured out how to use it, or at least still have it on hand.
Hold the product horizontal so that you can read the writing. Take the left cap off so you can see the brush. On the right you'll see the bottom of the product, which twists and makes a clicking sound every time you turn it clockwise one full turn. When using it for the first time, I suggest pointing the brush towards the ground and shaking the product so the liquid ends up near the brush end. Then turn the bottom of the product until you hear at least five clicks. Try applying the product via the brush. If nothing comes out, keep repeating the clicking and application until product reaches the brush and applies to your face. Hope this helps!

There should be directions! Pull the cap off and at the bottom of the wand is a twist portion. Turn that clockwise about 4 or 5 clicks. The Brightener drops out of the brush and is easily applied. I just love this product! Minimizes the dark circles and fine lines.

I had to turn it clockwise more than 5 times to get the liquid flow. Plus I turned it upside down. I think it had been stored upward.

You have to pull the top off (the black top) -- it takes a little bit of force but you have to just pull it off!

Question

What is the difference between Well-Rested and Stroke of Light

The descriptions for the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener are nearly identical, and these are both new products. Can you please explain the difference between the two? Thank you very much.

Stroke of light functions as a concealer and well rested is a brightener/highligher only. Well rested is not meant to conceal. I didn't want to admit it at first like one of the ladies at the boutique told me, but you may need both. The well rested is amazing and doesn't sink into any lines you may have, the stroke of light is really only meant for where a dark circle may be, DON'T put it too close to the under eye area and DON'T put it near any laugh lines near the eyes. The well rested it great for inner eyes, brow bone, and especially cheek bones. I think the well rested is the more important product, and you could use a lot of other concealers for any dark circles... I haven't found anything like the new liquid well-rested as far as brightening and highlighting.

I just happen to have both of these products. The Stroke of Light Eye Brightener has a more pearlized look. I use it on my lids and under the brow. It is so pretty by itself but you can add eyeshadow. The Well-Rested Face has more of a creamy look. It still lightens the dark circles and minimizes the lines on the under eye area.

If you want coverage around your eyes the Well-Rested Face & Eye Brightener is not what you want. I use the Stroke of Light Eye Brightener or the new SPF 20 Correcting Concealer around my eyes and then layer the Well-Rested SPF 20 Eye Brightener LOOSE POWDER over it for a flawless finish. I bought the Well-Rested Face and Eye Brightener and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't provide any coverage and it illuminates wrinkles around the eyes. Plus in my case it irritates my eyes and makes the water.

the pen is meant to be used as more of highlight on your face and to gee you a natural glow, while the eye brightener is more used to specifically cover dark circles and bring more light to your under eye area.
