I am asian so I have a fairly yellow skin tone but also a lot of pink shades in my T zone. I was using medium beige for a while but I decided to try the golden medium. The yellow undertones got rid of any redness and I use a blush to make sure I dont look super yellow. I would say use something with more yellow tones because you can always add pink tones with a blush.

Question
Would the original foundation fix my oily skin problem?
I went to a BE outlet before trying any products. I was interested in the Matte foundation originally, but the sales girl told me to use the original to "fix" the problem rather than cover it up. My skin is extremely light, fare color is the only color I've found that can match... which is why I have to spend a little more than I'd like to on foundation. I bought the starter kit with the original foundation, and I love it, I am due for a new one. Is what the sales girl told me true? I may have seen results but I am not sure if the results were specifically for oil! I plan to buy the original again, because I feel like it looks natural either way, but I do wonder!!

I am currently using the matte foundation and I find it works really well. I have combination oily skin that can be oily one day and normal the next. My skin is also very fair and so problems stand out strongly. I think that the matte make up has also worked to diminish some of my problems. One thing I would suggest is with extra oily skin buying the oil control primer. I love it, and on days I know where I may be stressed and have oily skin this keeps it all under control. I do want to purchase the original some day. With my skin I have a tendency to go back and forth for what works best for what day. But what I like about BM is the make up is good for my skin regardless.

I have oily skin and the original wasn't working for me. There was just too much shine! Then I switched to the matte and it works perfectly! If you're pleased with the results from the original foundation, there's no need to switch. But if you prefer a less shiny appearance, I would suggest switching to the matte foundation! However, none of these will FIX your oil production. I would also suggest the Prime Time Oil-Control.

Yes! This foundation is non-comedogenic! Try using a primer before applying the foundation. I would suggest the Prime Time Oil-Control.

Problem skin doesnt change over night. However, if you give up the liquid and switch to Bare Esentuals, you will most likely see less blemishes. Liquid clogs your pores as to why you continue to have blemishes. This line of make up is designed for problem skin. To not only cover them but to for them to eventually deminish. Also, keep your face clean and moisturized. I would suggest for you to completely stop using liquid and give this a try.
