The Purely Nourishing Cream soaks into my skin leaving me feeling moisturized. I've been using it for years. I have never had it "peel" off.

The same thing happens to me! It doesn't absorb into my skin. I would love to know of any other problems or issues with this product. I experience breakouts after using this product.

My skin just drinks it in and I never feel a residue. Maybe it depends on how dry your skin is?

Hi, I don't know if this has been answered yet, but I haven't had this happen. I know washing your face before hand is important - well I don't wash, I use a warm washcloth as my skin is so sensitive. I would head back into a store and let someone know, as this doesn't seem normal, maybe you have the wrong cream and need to use something different?? Good Luck!

Do you use an eye cream? I have noticed that the two together can clump a little bit.

I use all BE lotions and creams and there isn't a residue when you put them on. I know what you mean-I've used some lotion that flake off though I don't know why.

I found that if I put on too much of this cream, so much that I had to really rub my face to work it in, it left a bit of a residue. I don't know that I'd say mine peeled off, but it flaked a little bit and I had to let it dry and then brush off the excess before applying my foundation. If I didn't put on a ton of this cream (and really, since it's so thick I didn't NEED to put on a lot), then I didn't get the residue. If you put on less and just spend more time spreading it around and massaging it in, maybe you'll be ok.

Question
Is this product noncomedogenic?
My skin is very dry and acne prone. I break out very easily so I'm trying to find a product that won't clog my pores.

BE skin products are wonderful! They don't remove too much oil from my skin as to leave it open to bacteria and yet clean. BE makeup covers my red psoriasis skin and scaley patches. Since using BE, I don't have acne breakouts!!!

i have the same problem. In my experience, this is soaked up by your skin, but does not clog the pores. I suggest using it once a day or every other day if you are worried until you are more confident.

I suffered from terrible acne for about 5 years before it finally cleared up. Although I still get occasional pimples and I have some scarring, I'm very satisfied with my face. I also have very dry skin (and slightly oily) so I was hesitant to buy this fearing that it might clog my pores. It really didn't though - I absolutely loved it. Where other moisturizers had failed to help with my dry skin in the past, this one worked wonders. It also didn't cause any acne flairups or irritate my skin, so I was very happy with this product and recommend you try it.

I am extremely acne prone as well and ALL of BE items (I use the foundation, mineral veil, warmth, blush, eye shadows, cleanser, moisturizer, night treatment and eye treatment on a regular basis) do not clog my pore and actually make my skin feel better and smoother. If you're worried about breaking out, try one of the kits where you get smaller versions of everything to try it out first and see for yourself how your skin reacts.

I used to have really terrible acne as well and using the Bare Escentuals products really changed my face. They are noncomedogenic and since they don't have any dyes, preservatives or other heavy things sitting on your face, they actually improve skin health. They did for me, at least, and countless other. If your skin is dry, you might consider the moisturizer for dry skin- I love it. It makes a great base for the foundation and other products.

You can get SPF in mineral veil and the foundation, but none of the moisturizers have SPF in them. BE also makes their own sunscreen that you could try.

The skin care line doesn't have any SPF in it, but Bare Escentuals foundation has SPF 15. They also make a sunscreen that is SPF 30, concealer with SPF 20 and a mineral veil that has SPF 25. The mineral veil with SPF is particularly convenient since you're probably using mineral veil anyway.

Some Bare Minerals products do have sunscreen in them. I've seen SPF info listed on the lid of a product jar, on the bottom of the jar, and in an item's product description online. BE does make an actual sunscreen as well. If SPF is what you're looking for, I'd suggest maybe searching the website under the keyword "SPF", contact customer service via phone, or head into a BE botique (if there's one near you) and speak to a consultant there. I hope this helps!

Question
Burns
I am experiencing burning around my nose ... does anyone else have this. Putting other moisturizer wouldn't calm the redness down. Only putting on the Night Transformation product worked. The only thing I can think of is that I didn't wash with the BE cleanser, but used another brand. Any ideas? I have two jars of this I recdeived as gifts, so I cannot return. Thank you.
