Hi!

I'm also fair-skinned. I use Bisque as a concealer, and Well Rested under and in the corners of my eyes. Sometimes, Well Rested works well as a concealer, too. It's also a brightener (apply a *light* layer under foundation) and an eyeshadow. I hope this helps!

I also use the fair. If they made something lighter, I would use it. Let me start by saying that I have cooler undertones, pink and blue. I use the original bisque under my eyes. It is too dark to cover spots though. I use well-rested to cover spots and other imperfections. I am so happy since I added well-rested to my makeup bag. I used to just use the foundation to cover spots but the well-rested works better. The bisque is great for under my eyes because the pink really helps to cover the blue under the eyes. If I were you, I would just get both of them right away. If I had to chose one, it would be the well-rested.

The fair is the lightest cool tone, so the Original Bisque is what would be recommended; it has the same cool/pinkness in it.

The Summer Bisque, with its more neutral tone (meaning less pink, more yellow-y -- but not screaming yellow, of course) color-corrects the purple of the dark circles under eyes, tho; you could do that with the "Well Rested" for eyes, too.

I would recommend the bisque color of the concealer, it's the lightest shade. Both the fair and the fairly light foundation look fine with this color. It blends really well.

Hello! i wear Fairly Light, the next darkest shade from what you wear and I find the Bisque concealers to be too dark. The BE consultant at the boutique recommended I use Well Rested For Eyes as my concealer, both around my eyes and for my redness. I recommend trying that.

Question

Will these concealers successfully hide dark red acne marks?

i have a decent amount of active acne on the sides of my face which leave very noticable red marks. Will this concealer be able to completely cover them? Also, should concealer be used over or under BE foundation?

Hi Carrolinee....hope you still look at this. Will bisque completely cover the red acne marks? Well, it's hard to say w/o seeing them in person....but...I think you will have better luck w/ bm bisque than you will with ANY other concealer product on the market. I suggest you go to a bm store or department store that carries bm and let one of the ladies help you try it. They tend to have a light touch w/ the bisque, but I think you should be sure to use the bm concealer brush, and apply it kind of heavily. Then, buff it in well, reapply more in light layers after that, until you get the desired coverage. Afterwards, use your warm palms of your hands to gently "press it in" to your skin. If you still need more coverage, then, use the bm foundation on top of that. YOu may find you don't even need the foundation, or only need a very, very light coating of it. So, in answer to your second question, I personally like to start w/ the bisque, b/c I often find that I don't even need the foundation after I've covered the large areas of spots. Play around w/ it. Try it both ways...it's fun to take an hour to yourself on a sunny day and try putting one on first, then second, layers, etc... and go outside w/ a mirror to see which works best on your particular skin. But I'll also tell you that just using bm products will, over time help to heal your skin marks to some extent so that they appear less visible even w/o the product. That's another awesome benefit of using bm products. Try them, you'll love them, but I know when I first started trying them, I wasn't won over, until I got in there and really played around w/ seeing which method would work best to cover my spots. Now, I wouldn't use anything else. You can always return whatever doesn't work, so what do you have to lose?

Yes! The concealer will definitely cover those marks. I suffer from cystic acne and scarring that comes from my breakouts, and this covers both wonderfully. I like to use my concealer brush to put my concealer on my problem areas after my moisturizer and primer have set. Then apply your foundation. Then I like to usually touch up/set the areas using the concealer brush again, but this time blotting the area with a little bit of the regular foundation to set it in place. Then complete your look with your bronzer and mineral veil.

you can use it before or after foundation, or both if you prefer. I found that layering it over my sun damage or occasional breakouts works best. It requires a bit more product than you use with foundation. I use it as a pre concealer, and a post concealer - except under my eyes.

Hi!

I don't think that ANY concealer (at least, anything that doesn't weigh a ton & cause more acne) will completely & totally cover EVERYTHING. However, I've found that BE concealers Bisque (also available in Summer Bisque, which is a little darker), and Well Rested (which works well on very light skin tones) cover a lot of sin.

If I've got a really gnarly blemish, I usually apply concealer after foundation, and then again very last, after Mineral Veil. This is because some of it gets blended in when applying blush, radiance products, etc. You'll have to experiment to see which color is right for you (you should be able to ask for a sample and/or consult w/ a makeup artist at a BE boutique).

No boutique nearby? Well, if your skin is very fair (mine is), try regular Bisque and Well Rested (I use both). Well Rested is fantastic for the inner corners of and under the eyes to brighten dark circles. It's also a good highlighting eyeshadow. If your skin is medium to dark, try Summer Bisque.

I have also heard some people say they've applied these products with the tip of their pinky finger, and also w/ a damp Maximum Coverage Concealer Brush (a must have). Play around and see what works best for you.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

Hello! For acne coverage, Bisque is the way to go. There are several shades of bisque depending on your skintone. I spot conceal with the concealer brush and bisque, then apply my foundation (I prefer the Full Flawless brush), and then I look at my face. Some days I don't need any more concealing. Other days, I spot conceal a bit more just to touch up amy areas that are problematic for the day. For undereye circles and darkness, Well Rested is the concealer to use. I do the same re: spot conceal, apply foundation, then depending on the day, may spot conceal afterwards. Hope this helps!

I assume you are talking about bisque concealer. If you use original bisque, it isn't too dark at all. I have very fair skin and it isn't noticeable at all. You may like the new stroke of light brightener. It conceals and brightens very well.

No... Unless your skin is white white white, the regular bisque (not summer bisque - it's too yellow for light skin) should be perfect. You really need to use the bm concealer brush, dab the bisque on in layers, and buff w/ a clean brush, or use the pad of your warm ring finger to gently press and pat the area for a couple of seconds. It should then be completely blended in. If your skin is very dry, use a good facial cream about 5 minutes before you apply the bisque or foundation.

I would use bisque. It is a miracle worker. It covers up and conceals like nobody's business. It will definitely cover up freckles, blemishes, scars, you name it and I've concealed it with bisque. The new cream concealer is great as well. If using the cream concealer, it takes very very little to cover quite a bit. The bisque is just swirl tap buff if you have freckles all over your face that would be easy to do. Use the precision concealer brush to conceal without using it all over your face.

Bisque! Unless they cover your face completely. Well, even if they do cover it completely, what I'd do is use your bm foundation BRUSH or kabuki brush, dip, swirl, tap your bm bisque concealer, use all over your face and buff, buff, buff. Then, if they still show through I'd use use the bm foundation brush and the bm foundation for your coloring (probably light or medium), and dip, swirl, tap, buff. That should take care of it. If any deep colored freckles still show through (doubtful), use your bm concealer brush and bisque to cover those specific freckles. Afterwards, take your warm hands, and gently lay them over your face for a few seconds, kind of pressing in. It should then all be blended and you should have a gorgeous, freckle-free face! Even though freckles are cute w/o covering them up! :)

Nothing is going to cover freckles and look natural. You just need to much product to cover them, if they are everywhere. If you have a few around your nose, you can cover them nicely with anything full coverage. If you have them all over, nothing is going to work. My suggestion, go to a derm. Skin care can help. Freckles are sun damage, get your self some sun screen and go to a derm. The derm can prescribe products that will work to slough off the dead damaged skin. Protect your skin. Sun screen sun screen sun screen! Dont leave yoyr house without it, ever! If you start to use sun screen regularly, every time you leave the house, in a few years the freckles will fade. I know cause I used to have them.

You are at a sort-of in between point. You could probably go with either original bisque or with summer bisque. If I were you, I would try the summer bisque. If it is too dark, I would mix it with the original bisque very slowly until I got it to a shade that works.

If you are fairly light skinned to light medium, I would suggest the regular bisque. First, apply it LIGHTLY with the foundation brush to the rosacea areas, then, use the bm concealer brush to cover any of the veins showing through or really bright red areas. Then, lightly go over the whole face w/ the bm foundation in your coloring. : )

Depending on your skin tone you can use your foundation with a concealer brush. B.E. makes the best concealer brush I have ever used. You could also use well-rested if you are pretty fair or any of the bisques depending on your skin tone. Bisque really covers easily.

answer 4
Focus on matching a foundation and a bisque to the color of your skin where the rosacea is not located. Then covering the rosacea is a matter of how much bisque to use, not what color to use.

One thing I would recommend if your over-all skin tone tends to be pinker/rosier, is maybe going for the neutral tones, rather than the cool tones. The neutral tones will not have as much pink in them, so they will help to slighly color-correct pink/rose/red-ness. I do this, and I much prefer it to wearing the cool color in my shade family.

For the bisque, the Original Bisque does have a pinky-er tone to it, so if your complexion is light to medium, I'd recommend the Summer Bisque. That's what I use, and it actually matches my skin much better where I don't have red areas, too (for example, my neck is noticeably paler than my face, and the supposedly-paler Original Bisque shows up darker on my neck than the Summer -- and I think it is because of the pinker tone the Original has.)

I also use this foundation in the winter. I've tried all the concealers in that range -- bisque, summer bisque & honey bisque but find first of all, none of them are the right colour and none of them cover. I use golden medium in the summer after I get a good tan going. I usually use bisque because it's a good generic concealer color but I find that I have to switch to summer bisque if I get really tan because it matches my skin better and also blends with my golden medium foundation better. So I would recommend summer bisque.

Hi McCoy. I have light skin, with pink undertones (not rosacea, though). I love, love, love the regular bisque. I will caution you, though. You must buy it from a licensed bm retailer, like online here, QVC, or a store that sells bm. Do not try to buy it elsewhere online. Those are knockoffs (I've tried them), and they ARE NOT the same product. They are darker. I think if you try bisque, WITH the bm concealer brush (very important tool), and then lightly tap on the concealed area w/ your warm ring finger pad, you will love it. Try it! You can return for refund if it doesn't work. Better yet, stop by a bm store and try it before you buy it! :)

Hi Anonymous... Sorry to hear this. This is my sugggestion, b/c I have experienced this before, too. Get a really good eye treatment cream that SOAKS IN and doesn't sit on top of your skin making it goopy. I haven't tried bm eye cream but that would be a great place to start. First, I put on my eye treatment, let it soak in for 5 - 10 minutes while I do other things to get ready. Then, apply bisque LIGHTLY (very lightly), then use the warm pad of my ring finger to "press" it in/blot it. If I still need more coverage IN A PARTICULAR SPOT, I then reapply more bisque VERY LIGHTLY, and repeat the process until it's just right. I've never had to do this more than 2 layers. Try it. Hope it works for you, too.

Do you use primer? First try a face primer, they make a great brightening one. Then if that does not seem to help enough, here is what I do. I use the original eye primer under my eyes. I use a very thin layer of it under my eyes, I never get creasing since I started doing that. I also use a great eye moisturizer before the eye primer. It has never caused any irritation or anything, it is made for the eye lids. I also use it on the lids. It really holds the shadow all day with next to no creasing. Another good tip for their new eye liner pencils, is to use the end with the smudger to press the eye liner in. It will last all day that way. Hope my tips help you, as much as they helped me.

I have this same problem. There a few things you can try.

First, if you're not already doing this, use a moisturizer for the eye area. The moisturizer will add hydration to the area that will kind of "plump" them up, so the skin expands to fill in, at least partially, where the wrinkles and lines. Bare Escentuals has a couple products you can try. There is Skin Rev-er Upper, which seems the lightest but also designed for just this sort of issue. Then, there is an eye-area moisturizer, Skincare Firming Eye Treatment. (If you happen to have oily skin, as I do, I use this and is does not give me blemish problems, as virtually every moisturizer I've tried does, even the oil-free ones.) Also, there is a product in Bare Escentuals' md formulations line, which seems like it will be a more intensive moisturizer (although I don't know for sure, as I haven't tried it), Moisture Defense Antioxidant Eye Creme.

Next, you could smooth in either the original (not brightening or oil-control) face primer or the original (not shimmery) eyelid primer. Just blend it into the under-eye area, but don't get it up into the eyelash or tear-duct areas. For the outer corner of your eyes, the eyelid primer is definitely the thing. The eyelid primer is made for anywhere there is the thinner skin around the eyes. This should help put a layer into and over the lines such that the concealer does not do that.

Lastly, if it is right for your skin tone, you might try switching to the "Well-Rested" for eyes product, instead of using the bisque under your eyes. I find the bisque to be a bit "heavier" of a product, so the Well-Rested doesn't create as much of a fill in the fine lines and wrinkles. And it seems like it's specifically designed for this eye area.

Good luck.

Would this concealer cover my acne vulgaris?

I have acne vulgaris which are painful nodules and cysts. I started having severe acne after my last child. I haven't worn makeup more than a handful of times in the last year because it either causes an irritation or it doesn't cover the nodules well. I usually end up with smooth skin all around except for the spots where the nodules or cysts are. In those spots the makeup cakes and creases making the blemish look worse. Yes it will. It will do so without irritating it further and it will not make you break out either. I wear the fair foundation so I prefer the well rested to cover my skins imperfections and original bisque for under my eyes. If you are darker than fair, use one of the bisques. I think you will be surprised how well and easily it covers any imperfection. I always have well rested and bisque next to my sink and one of each in my makeup bag that travels from purse to purse. I also suffer from acne and the nightly transformation powder really helps soothe my skin. The same ingredient is in the matte foundation. In about a month, I saw great results. At first it seemed like it was getting a bit worse but now, I will never run out of the stuff. I even use a concealer brush to dab it on my spots.

I had terrible cystic acne growing up and could never find makeup or concealers that would provide enough coverage without looking like I put half the container on my face. I bought a starter kit of bare minerals at the end of December and will never go back to any other makeup. I haven't actually used the concealer, but I use the foundation and apply it with the concealer brush and it covers my acne VERY well. Another perk of this makeup is that since I started using it, my face has cleared up so much. I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone with acne. It is an AMAZING line of products!

oo goodness girl, i'm an esthetician and i've worked on clients with this and i can not imagen, the concealer is amazing at covering because its so densely compacted but i would suggest oil control primer to make sure it doesn't make it more apparent with the make up that way it covers and stays covered =]
