Questions & Answers for bareMinerals Weather Everything Liner Sealer

Question

During a make-under, a beauty ambassador used an eye liner pencil and a product to seal it to prevent smudges.

I think it was the weather everything but I can't remember how she used it with the pencil liner and not the shadow. Can anyone help?

Use the pencil first and then use the same pencil, or a liner brush, to apply the sealer over your lined eye to seal in your look.

Question

Weather Everything eyeliner sealer...detailed instructions on how to use the product.

Do I have to mix the sealer with the eyeshadow powder to use? Do I add it after I apply the eyeliner? How do I apply it...with my finger or do I use a brush? If I use a brush it takes the shadow powder off. I am confused.

You could even perhaps use a little of the Eye Primer, blend it out with an angled eye shadow brush or the double ended precision brush and then apply your liner or color. Primer helps colors pop and increases staying power throughout the day.

Mix the weather everything with your eyeshadow powder then apply with eyeliner brush after you mix. If you use the big and bright eyeliner pencils, apply pencil color first then apply weather everything on top with an eyeliner brush.

The way to use the Weather Everything Eyeliner Sealer is to open one slot in the little clear mixing case provided in the kit, put in 2 drops of the solution, then add in a small amount of the eyeshadow you desire to make into an eyeliner into that slot with the solution. Take an eyeliner brush & use it to mix together the solution and eyeshadow into an even, paint-like liquid. You may need to add more eyeshadow powder or the sealer solution depending on what consistency you want the eyeliner to be. Then apply the liquid you've created with the eyeliner brush. Don't use your finger, as it would only smudge anything you'd previously applied on your eye. I hope that helps.

Witchhazel is a good cleaning astringent. I wouldn't use Alcohol or Hydrogen Peroxide since those are solutions that are stronger and usually are used for common cuts and wounds. You can find Witch Hazel at drug stores usually or you can check local stores that carry facial cleaning products. I use Witch hazel a lot to clean my daughter's ears, my ears or my face sometimes if I'm out of the usual facial cleaning products I use.

Right after you are done applying this stuff to wherever, you should rinse it out with water. I usually just scrub it with my fingers and it comes off fine.

I've found that baby oil from any drug store does an excellent job cutting through the dried-out product. It's what I soak my brushes in to clean them after using them, too.

I'll be honest. I've tried mixing my all over face color with balm. I even contacted customer service to see if I was doing it right. I was doing it kinda right, so once I tweaked what I did wrong....I still didn't get the results I was looking for. I would take the all over face color and mix it really well with my balm I was using at the time and it would just be a small tiny itsy bitsy bit of the all over face color and it would look like little bits of clumped Warmth on my lips. I didn't like it and tried it several times. I feel better just used the balms, lipsticks and glosses as is and use the All Over Face Color to be used on my face only.

YES! But you have to use a brush to apply and make sure you don't make "mistakes" ! I would mix a little powder in a little container and add a little aloe or glycerine or even a little vitamin E to it just so it is not so dry with just the liquid and powder. I did use a lip pencil to outline to help me "stay in the lines" first, then after mixing the blush and moisture and Weather liquid, I would use the lipbrush and paint it on. You can also just use the liquid and blush and then use a balm on your lips after instead of mixing it in the mix, cause sometimes the moisture won't mix right or it might apply streaky. So if you are just trying it the first time, I might just mix the blush and the weather everything. Just brush it on and if it feels a little dry, then just apply balm. You could also try using just water and blush first too to see how you like it and how it feels. Good luck!

I haven't tried mixing it for a lip stain but I would suggest for you to just try it because with BE you can use everything just about any way you can think of. I know I used one of the eye shadows as a lip color and it looked amazing.

Waterline is pretty difficult. I would try to stick with making sure that you get it to your lash line which is easier to make even and make a clean application.

I haven't been able to get it to work on the water line. That doesn't mean it won't, I just need to play with it a little more.

I would not suggest using this on your inner rim unless you are really good at keeping it in the one spot. I tried it and I don't know if it is because I'm not very good at using the brush (which I don't think is the case) or if the product just went everywhere because my eye was watering. When I did it, it got everywhere..all over my eyes and under the inner rim and I just had a big mess. I would just try it to see if you would have any luck but be really careful about staying on the line.

Question

Does this replace the eyelid primer? Do I apply the eyelid primer first and then the WELS?

Want to know which product to use first. Thanks.

My makeup routine is the following:

Clean Face
Primer
Conceal
Powder Foundation
Eye Primer
Eye Shadow
Blush
Lip gloss or balm
Mineral Veil

I rarely use eyeliner anymore because I have dark circles under my eyes and adding more black to the area I feel will probably bring out my darkness more. I like to use eye shadows to line my eyes. It's softer, easier to remove at the end of the day, more natural and lightens my face up. I do still like eyeliner, because eyeliner will make your eyes appear a little smaller. I have big eyes, so I can't over due it on the eyeshadow so I have to use my colors sparingly to make sure it blends well and not over due it.

Use the eyelid primer first and then use this product. I don't know about anyone else but I apply my shadow before I ever apply any liner.

Question

Does it prevent flaking?

I use BE liner shadows already, wet, but noticed that my cheeks will get speckled with liner that has flaked off. Which then I try to wipe off and all that does is smear lines all over my face. Does this sealer prevent that?

This product won't cause flaking. Personally, I usually like to keep wetness off of my eyes. I use an angled liner brush or the double ended precision brush (the point end) to put on my regular eye shadows. The READY line is great for that. You tap into the product and apply it. You get beautiful, natural and halfway smoky eye effect if you decide to bump up the application a bit. Have you used the Eyelid Primer? It's a small tube, but lasts and lasts because you don't need much of it to get the results you need. It really makes the colors on your eyes pop.

The only way that I have ever seen this flake has been when I excessively rub my eyes. (I know I'm not supposed to) Other than that, with this product the eyeliner stays put until you remove it.
