Primer fills in the pores of your face. This helps smooth the face out but also gives it a hydrating quality for easier, smoother foundation application. The Matte foundation is made for those with oily skin. I have combination skin so I usually ping pong back and forth between Original and Matte. What I have found is that Matte tends to rub off easier than the original. The Matte is subtle and more natural due to its oil absorbing properties. The original will give you luminosity and hydrate your skin. Try the new READY foundation. I feel that it gives me the oil absorbing properties of Matte, but has the luminizing hydrating properties of the original and it doesn't come off as easily as the Matte either. So it's the best of both worlds. READY foundation is special. You tap your brush into the foundation and buff onto your face versus swirling, tapping and buffing like you would with the loose powders. Mineral Veil is to set your whole makeup. Here is a routine I usually do and may help you:

Primer - a must
Concealer - READY or loose bisques
Foundation - READY, original or matte
Eyeshadow - READY or loose powder
Mascara - volumizing or brushless
Blush - READY or loose powder
Veil - READY or loose powder
Lips - 100% natural lip gloss, lip color, clear balm if you don't want color at all or the Buxom lip gloss

For those "don't have time days" you can do just the primer, blush, lips and maybe one of the Radiance colors to give your face a hint of color.

During your makeup routine, right before the veil, you can do bronzer, radiance or an all over face color and THEN the veil to set your whole makeup. The veil, to me, is just as important as the primer. The primer sets your face for makeup and the veil keeps it that way throughout the day.

I agree. Using this makeup keeps those nasty breakouts away. I have used Covergirl because of Top Model promoting it for several seasons and it's my favorite show, I've used Smashbox because of all the hype from online ads, I've used Hard Candy from Walmart because my friend looked good in it and I've used Avon because of the low price and thought it would be equivalent to Bare Escentuals and they ALL failed...100%. Bare Minerals works for me and I'm glad it works for you too!

I hope my advice helps!!
