Depends on her skin's undertones. Based on what you said about her hair and eyes, I'd guess she has cool undertones, but I'm a blue-eyed redhead, and my undertones are a neutral mix of warm and cool. I went with The Playlist, with its warmer colors and I absolutely love it, but I'm guessing these kits were designed for wearability with both skin tones. Bottom line, I'd say if she has cooler undertones, go with The Cocktail Hour, warmer undertones go for The Playlist.

No, they are a little smaller than the 2.0 or the 4.0.
But keep in mind that the pigmentation is so dense that a tiny amount goes a long way. These are super saturated with color and shimmer so they will last as long as 8 petite jars would...maybe longer if you tend to spill like I do. :)

they definitely look like they are. My neighbor has the 2.0 & 4.0's and they did look the same. Appeared to be as deep of a well, too....which would make this the best bang for your buck. Hope that helps!

Yes it does. There are several looks posted in the info to help guide you thru several different applications.
However, I find I do better when I use the guide as a suggestion and play. :)

Question
I have been told in the past that women in there 40's or 50's should not wear shimmer or sparkle eyeshadow, is this correct?
I have been trying to find shadows that are matte, will you be putting together a collection of eyeshadows similar to The Playlist in matte?

I am 52 and love these ready eye shadows. They have just a hint of shimmer, which looks really nice on me. Just don't use too much. Too much shimmer does make you look older. All you need to do is touch your brush to the color and that is all you will need and blend, blend, blend.

I am 52 and I wear shimmers and sparkles all the time. It seems the older I get, the more light reflecting and brightening tricks I need.
If you ever feel a color is too shimmery, you can buff it with mineral veil and take some of the shine down. But honestly, life is to short not to shine a little. :)

Yes, just be sure to not get them wet in the palette. Use a brush to collect and tap some into another container and then wet them.

Yes, you can apply the pressed shadows wet, but the coverage is so great you may not need to. And yes, I use mine as eyeliners all the time.
