Question

How should I know what colors would look best on me?

I have used plum and a lighter shade, which seem to make my eyes "pop". I have deep set eyes. Would other shades be better?

What color are your eyes? If plum is making them pop, I am guessing green or brown. I have read that plum and raisin are universally flattering.

Your best bet is to go to a retail store that sells bareMinerals products. I personally prefer Ulta, as the one by me has an entire corner dedicated to bareMinerals/bareEscentuals products. Ask for a color-match and then ask what colors would be best to do what you're wanting. (Even better, see if they've got a gay guy working there, as he'll be brutally honest about what does and doesn't look good on you. He will make you look fabulous!) I like to buy at least one product from this whole ordeal, write down the rest, then go back home, go online, and shop at my leisure for accompanying products.
