On this website go to experience and foundation finder. U can find the skin tone family u belong to. Click on "learn more" to find out if u have cool neutral or warm undertones. If there r two colors for foundation and u don't know which one to get, contact a BE rep. I sent in a profile of my face and was matched perfectly. Good luck to u!

I would try Medium/Medium Beige. You are gonna love BE. Not only will you much better with this product your face will feel better. I am telling you, BE is as if you are not wearing anything. You wont have that heavy feel of liquid makeup. Let me know what you think. It is amazing!

I would recommend going into a Bare Escentuals store or another place that sells their products and can match you with your perfect color foundation. From there, they can tell you which Touch Up Veil shade would work best for your skin tone.

This product is only meant to set or "freshen up" your makeup throughout the day. It serves the purpose of diffusing imperfections and controlling shine but does not give much coverage the way a foundation would. If you want to try the foundation, go to the foundation matcher in the foundation section of the website, or visit a local store to have someone match you for the correct color.

Question

What is the difference?

I have been thinking about trying the Touch Up Mineral Veil but I would like to know what is the difference between it and the Original Mineral Veil. Please do not say it is pressed and that it has SeaNutritive MineralTM Complex in it because I already saw that.

Well, as you stated it is pressed and does have the Sea Nutritive MineralTM Complex which makes it different....the SeaNutritive MineralTM Complex is definatelty noticeable, because when you put it on it makes your skin feel like silk!!! Its so soft and supple on your skin....Other than that the biggest difference would be that it has a light scent to it and I find it to be more illuminating than the original mineral vail. I highly recomend giving it a try, plus, if you are not satisfied, you can always return it. Hope this helps!!!! :)

For me, the Original Mineral Veil just seems to only set your foundation and gives your face a nice matte look, but the READY Veil gives your skin a little more coverage than the Original Veil--a little more on the 'heavy' side, but not like a typical pressed powder. It's perfect for touching up your makeup later in the day, and it's not messy to carry around in your purse!

The original is in powder. The READY Touch up veil is smooth soft and doesn't look caked on. This is why it is good to use only a little bit so that it won't look as if your face is pasty

The Touch Up Mineral Veil isn't meant to replace the Original, it's just made to be a portable solution for people who want the convenience of the Original Mineral Veil but don't want to get the loose powder all over the place!

The Touch Up Veil comes with a powder puff applicator that fits neatly in the case. If you keep the little piece of plastic that comes with it to slide between the puff and the veil itself, it will protect the longevity of both products.

Translucent is sheer, while tinted has a bit of color. I prefer the tinted. At night after washing your face lets say someone comes by unexpected, I just run in and apply some tinted mineral veil and I feel better. Even though my skin is in better shape due to BE, I still like the feeling of some color and coverage.

The translucent is very light, and the tinted is a soft, warm tone. I mix fairly light and golden fair for my foundation and I can use both. I personally like to mix both colors with a brush.

The translucent has no color and you apply it over your makeup to give you an airbrushed appearance...its like a finishing powder. The tinted is the same thing but has just a touch of color.

You would use either your flawless face brush or full flawless face brush for application, just like with original mineral vail, but the compact does come with a little sponge applicator which I find works great , plus it makes it quick and easy!!! And no, it is not just for touch ups, you can use it as your regular finishing powder......It really is a great product and the SeaNutritive MineralTM Complex makes your skin feel soooo soft!!!! Just like silk!!!! I highly recomend it and if you dont like it you can always return it!!! Hope this helps :)

Mineral veil is for touch ups to help lock in your over all bare mineral look for the day. The buff and go brush is good to use, the soft focus face brush or even the flawless application face brush is good for the veil. Not crazy about the facial sponge for the bareMinerals READY veil, so I put it in my CG compacts; one is in compact and the other sponge is in my swim cosmetic bag.

This product is meant to set or "freshen up" your makeup during the day by diffusing imperfections and controlling shiny spots. To apply, I would gently press and roll it onto your face using the included puff applicator for a full finish. For a light finish just to "set" everything, I would use something along the lines of the flawless face brush or the angled face brush.

Question

I see that there a few different types of oil in this product. Would this be good for combination skin?

I currently use all BE products (cleanser, moisturizer, primer, foundation, concealer, blush and mineral veil) and I like that there is little to no oil in the makeup. I recently ordered the new pressed mineral veil and wonder whether or not it's a good choice for me and my skin type. I have combination to oily skin. Sometimes I get dry, flaky skin in the morning and by the afternoon it's oily, I also suffer from occasional breakouts. Since using all of the BE products, my skin has been so much smoother, softer and clearer. The current mineral veil I use has no oil in it and I just wanted something a little less messy.

I believe it would be good as the SeaNutritive MineralTM Complex is great for soaking up extra oil but it is not drying....I have some trouble spots as well.....and I actually find that this product improves my skin texture, it makes your face feel like silk!!! From the sounds of it we have similar skin issues and I LOVE this product!!! Hope this helps!!!! :)

I have golden dark skin and I too am a combo skinned kind of woman. With continued use of the BE products my face has gotten better. The mineral veil by bareMinerals READY collection is pressed powder verses loose. It comes in tinted and in translucent. I got tinted and u only need a small amount to achieve a finished look therefore prolonging the usage of your BE products.

I actually have the same exact symptoms with my skin, and this product is fine on my face. I use it especially to touch up when I'm feeling oily, and Presto! No more shiny face! I've never had a problem with breaking out from it either. It's important to remember that this is just meant to be a portable, touch up version of the Original Mineral Veil and not replace the Original, so I would use it only when you're out and on the go and need something convenient and portable :)

Yes, I have very oily skin and I have found that since I have started using products with oil, instead of trying to dry it out, that my skin is less oily. The touch-up veil seems to help my skin be more balanced so that I produce less oil. Plus, it's a soft matte, not a dry matte.

Question

Does the tinted give any coverage?

I am looking for a portable (pressed) powder to carry in my purse to substitute for the bareminerals foundation and my mineral veil. This product will obviously substitute for the veil, but will the tinted version work when I want to touch up coverage or is there another product for that. I am wanting to avoid all the powder in the bottom of my purse from the foundation. The veil doesn't seem to give me any coverage, just a nice soft finish!

No I do not believe this product will provide you with much coverage, but it does make touchs ups quick and easy!!! What I would suggest for more coverage on the go is purchasing the flawless face case which has a place to put either foundation or concealer in it, a mini buki and a mirror. It is a small compact perfect for what you are desrcibing....hope this helps!!! :)

I have medium to tan skin and the READY Touch Up Veil in tinted was much too dark. However, it does help eliminate the oiliness and shininess from your face throughout the day and gives it a nice matte look. If your skin is lighter than really tan, I'd go with the translucent. The READY Veil also gives a little better coverage than the regular loose-powder veil.

Use the skin rev-er upper to fill in pores. The veil does finishes and touch ups but not coverage. Try to conceal problem areas with concealer and follow up with an all over face color. Bronzer is optional but that would look way better on a face with foundation or for fair to medium skin tones.

You will not get ANY coverage from mineral veil. It is a finishing powder and meant to be applied after foundation. This particular one is only used to touch up already applied product. Do not purchase this if you are looking for coverage.

You are in luck. BE has come out with a pressed powder compact that I just love. I too wanted less mess and they did it. Not only is BE the best makeup, they listen to us that use it. We aren't just a customer to them, I feel. They listen to what we want and if it is in their power, they will produce it. Yes the tinted will do everything you need. Enjoy, I love it!
