Questions & Answers for bareMinerals Flawless Radiance

Question

Do I apply radiance (either Flawless Radiance or Bare Radiance) before or after mineral veil?

Hi,

I am a little confused about the order in which to use some of the products. I have foundation, which I apply first, however in terms of all over colors, blushes, radiances, and mineral veils, which order should I apply them in? I am never sure I'm doing this right. Thanks!

This is what I do, (all BE products BTW), foundation, mineral veil, blush & then radiance (I use Flawless shade).... I use the radiance on my upper cheekbones/temples/nose... It gives you a brightening shimmer- you prob don't want that all over your face as it can be overkill for everyday. FYI, my mineral veil has a tiny bit of shimmer to it as well.

Hi :) well i usually apply the flawless radiance after my mineral viel reason being is this; the viel is used to complete your entire look. Putting it all together; which means that it has no shimmer or tint to it right.

So when you apply the flawless radiance it will help your skin glow. I love it. it makes me look flawless and awake.

I usually begin with the concealer, then the foundation, the blush, the veil, and finally the flawless radiance..it all depends on what you like but that has worked for me very well.

Hi! I don't think that there is really a "right" way to apply everything. I have read different reviews from women who apply their bare escentuals in different orders. Myself, I apply my foundation first, then warmth, then blush, then mineral veil, then finish off the look with the flawless radiance. I hope this helps. I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE bare escentuals!!!!! I wish it would have been around when I was younger!

I always put mineral veil last to kind of blend all my makeup together (except eye shadow). If you use a primer before putting on foundation than just a little mineral veil is needed in your T zone (forehead, nose, a little on the cheeks). But if you want to show the color you're wearing, like blush you can put mineral veil underneath, but some blushes are a little overwhelming in their color. But I would recommend using mineral veil last.

Question

What is the difference between Flawless Radiance and Well Rested?

I use Well Rested around my eyes, but it sounds like Flawless Radiance could have/be the same effect?

Flawless radiance has a little bit of a shimmer to it. You can use both products. I also use Well Rested around my eyes, with flawless radiance on my upper cheekbones/temples & bridge of my nose.

well both products help your eyes look amazing. the thing is that flawless radiance has a shimmer tint to it; so when you wear it (i recommend under your eyes) it helps provide a glow. So when the light hits your face, it has a clean shimmery (but too shimmery) finish. with well rested there is no shimmer...but it does cover up well.

Not the same! Well Rested has color to it and is brightening, but not sheeny. Flawless Radiance, one of my favorite products ever, doesn't have any color to it. It gives your skin a glow with reflective particles, but it's not glittery. Well Rested is more suited for focused parts of your face, like your under eyes and areas around your nose. Flawless Radiance is wonderful for the whole face.

I use Well Rested around my eyes and even with eye colors to brighten the area under my eye brow. The Flawless Radiance I use to high light areas like above my cheekbones, above my eyebrows, sometimes over my eye shadow, different areas around my face to add a healthy glow. It seems to work.

I think flawless radiance is the most neutral tone. If anything it's a little more on the golden side. You should test it out in a store before buying to be sure though.

Try the Flawless or Pure Radiance. Check the description of the Radiance colors that you're interested in to be sure you don't get something with the pink in it. Also, you can try checking the stores that you think that may have the Radiance colors or call them before making the trip out to the store. Some places I know that carry BE products are Ulta, Dillard's, Macy's, Nordstrom and Bare Escentuals Outlet Stores. Sometimes you may luck out and find good deals on BE products at the stores that carry them. I always do a comparison to see what the prices are like. Some products you may only be able to get in the stores and some you can only get online.

Usually things you see online are more than likely NOT in the store. It's always good to call and check. It can't hurt. And if they have no clue what you're talking about, then, if you're in the area of the store that carries BE products, go to the store and see for yourself if they have what you're looking for. It's a risk that I've taken before. I see something online and I take a chance and check it out for myself.

Hope this helps and good luck to you!

I would try something to compliment your warm tone if you dont want something to rosy. Warm Radiance and Tropical Radiance would probably compliment you beautifully!

What I do is apply my concealer first to cover areas I don't like. Then I proceed to use my foundation, blush, eye shadow, mascara and warmth all over face color. But if I decide not to use warmth, then I just use my mineral veil. Radiance colors I would use before mineral veil. The mineral veil locks in my over all look. Radiance colors are face enhancers. I haven't bought it yet, but a BE rep suggested that I try the rose radiance for my golden dark skin tone. They are great at suggestions and advice!
