I was told in the store that they are all safe for acne-prone skin but I would recommend the purifying facial cleanser. This is the lightest and most simple of all the three washes. The deep cleansing wash could potentially break you out because of the gunk that it is pulling out. I personally have never tried the exfoliating treatment because of how sensitive my skin is.

I too have combination skin and I've been ultra pleased with the Skincare Purifying Facial Cleanser. It doesn't make my dry patches dryer, keeps the oily ones in check, and best of all, when I get a pimple, this stuff clears it up in a couple of days. My skin hasn't been this totally clear in a long time. I'm not very prone to acne, but I do get my share of little bumps and occasional pimples. Another thing I like about this cleanser is how little you use. One or two pumps is it (it doesn't look like much in the palm of your hand). Twenty dollars was a lot for me to spend on a cleanser, but so little is used it'll last for quite a while, I think. I've been using the whole skincare line for about a month and I'm very pleased with all of it. The dry skin moisturizer is fantastic (even though my skin is only dry in patches). The eye cream is also perfection. I hope this helps. Good luck!

NO, actually it will help reduce your acne. I am very acne prone, and my skin looks amazing after one week of use. It has changed my life. It has diminished my acne greatly and with NO scars left behind. Just young, healthy, vibrant, smooth skin! You have to try it!

Blaire, I'm the same way... I was using this one product with harsh chemicals thinking that it would clear up my skin. Boy I was wrong. The oils in these products are all natural oils, so you're putting good stuff into your skin, not the harsh stuff. Ever since I started using the Purifying Facial Cleanser and the Purely Nourishing Moisturizer i have not seen one blemish or break out.

I am not sure what product you are specifically asking about. I am very prone to break outs. I love the night time powder. It will shrink your pores and help with break outs. I know it is pricey, but if you are acne prone try it. For about a week my skin seemed like it was getting worse, maybe hormonal, but after that week it was better, give it a month and wow the difference. I also really love the blemish treatment. Comes with a great little brush that is a multi-tasker. I use it for bisque too. I like to use the blemish treatment in my t-zone to control oil. It also works great as a spot treatment. The combination moisturizer made me break out and an oil slick before lunch. I think it is more for those with normal skin or combination skin leaning toward dry skin. I do not recommend it for acne prone skin. Oily skin I would say try it, but not acne prone. The cleanser to try is not the purifying or exfoliating but the foaming or deep cleansing one. I have not tried it yet. I would tell you the cleanser I found and love, but they won't post this if I do:( Happy hunting!

I've found that the cleanser WILL remove makeup (waterproof as well) as long as you make a conscious effort to remove it while cleansing. One of the nice things about it is that it is pretty gentle on your eyes, so it's not difficult to scrub around the eye area.

I don't know about oil free, but this cleanser is not rich at all. It is almost watery. I use 2 pumps at night and one pump in the morning. If you were to use an eyedropper, there are probably 5-8 drops in one pump. It does a great job on my combination skin. I'd give it a try if I were you!

The purifying face wash is to be rinsed with water. You may want to try the exfoliating face wash that you can just wipe off. I think their makeup products have so much sun protection that I do not mind using a lotion that doesn't...just my opinion on it though.

answer 4
The cleansers are to be used with warm water, just to activate all the amazing ingredients that penetrate into your skin - rather than wiping it off. The moisturizer and cream do not have SPF in them, because if you are using the Mineral Foundation you are getting your SPF 15 or the Mineral Veil - SPF 25.
answered 2 years, 1 month ago

answer 5
This cleanser is used with water. As far as I know, none of the skin care line contain SPF, HOWEVER the Foundation is SPF 15 and there is a Mineral Veil that has SPF 25. If you use either of those there is no need for it in your moisturizer, because multiple products with SPF do NOT add up to a higher SPF. Whatever product has the highest SPF is all the protection you are going to get. For example: if you apply SPF 15 lotion to your body then apply a heavy sunscreen with SPF 50, your total protection will be SPF 50, not SPF 65.

I don't think anything can compare to the bare escentuals skin care. The Purifying Facial Cleanser is my favorite one or two small pumps removes all my makeup and leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized. The moisturizers are wonderful I use them based on the time of year. I use Purely Nourishing Normal to Dry in summer and the Purely Nourishing Cream in the winter when I am a bit dryer.

The Purifying Cleanser is a basic all purpose daily cleanser with a mild amount of lather. The Deep Cleansing Foam is a heavier cleanser that penetrates further into the skin to wash away impurities and has a richer, foamier lather. I use the Purifying in the AM, and the Deep Cleansing Foam in the shower in the PM. I have very sensitive skin, and most deep cleansers are too harsh, but I use the BE Deep Cleansing Foam pretty much every day and my skin feels (and looks) great!

The purifying cleanser is extremely gentle, yet stunningly effective. It is amazing at taking off all makeup, including high quality mascaras and eye liner. The foam is a different clean. When you finish, your face feels on the dryer side, whereas with the cleanser your face still feels hydrated. The foam is great at taking makeup off as well, but it's not as gentle, so you aren't recommended to use it around your eyes.

The purifying facial cleanser cleans your face and great for the facial make up. It does need the help of an eyemakeup remover.. It seems to clean with out adding oil and it does not strip your skin either. I tend to get acne at certain times of the month and I have not had any problem using this cleanser.

The foaming cleanser is one of the deeper cleansers, but if you're using a lot of topical treatments or moisturizers with acne ingredients, a more gentle cleanser, like the purifying cleanser, might be more suited for you. It does a great job of leaving the top layer intact without stripping away too many lipids.
