Hi! I've heard & read, over the yrs., that mascara should be thrown out after 6 months or if it starts to have a bad odor, like lipstick, (that's gotta go for sure!) But I've had to stretch out my mascara, adding a touch of lotion, . If we use it everyday & DO NOT Ever pump the brush, always do it ay an angle, it'll last the appropriate time & you'll run out before ya you have to worry about it expiring. Hope i helped! p.s. never pump lip glosses either, it puts air in as well & will dry out before it Alwaz use it at an angle, like Ur mascara. =] Frannie

I believe it is best to replace mascara every 3 months but no longer than 6 months. I just get kits with deluxe samples or mini's and in 3 months it will be used up and no waste.

I have only used the little tubes (I've used two), and they've been fine up until the last drop for me, just as nice as before. I usually rotate mascaras so I've had a tube for up to three months and it is still as good as it was when I initially bought it. As soon as it starts to change characteristics (clumpier than normal, smelly), then throw it away.

Definately! My newest favorite is the Bare Minerals Volumizing mascara. It makes my wimpy lashes full and gorgeous with the perfect amount of "flutter".

I never specifically try to take my mascara off, but this mascara comes off with just washing my face. Sometimes if I have more than one coat on, it does run after washing my face-just use the washcloth under your eyes and it comes off easily. I have went to bed with it too, but haven't had racoon eyes. I do hope this helps.

From my personal experience, yes, the mascara does run to your lower eye lashes and outer corner of eyes. When I forget to wash my face (or just too tired to do it) the next morning I'll have smudges under my lower lash line. Don't get my wrong I LOVE their mascaras, but I've read if you sweep some mineral veil on your eye lashes that will help the mascara stay on better. I like BE mascaras because I've noticed my eye lashes don't fall out as much as with other brands.
