On the BE website, click on the md formulations tab. Go to Learn More to see products that will help depending on your skin type. I believe that Rare Minerals is really md formulations since it's referring to the skin.

Bare Minerals are eye shadows, foundations, blushes, bronzers, all over face colors, mascara, etc.

Bare Escentuals are makeup bags, makeup remover clothes, eyelash curlers and brush cleaning shampoo.

Rare Minerals I believe is now md formulations.

I would definitley try the MD Formulations cleanser. It exfoliates with 12% Glycolic Acid, which removes dead skin cells and helps those new cells shine bright on the surface - no scrubing involved.
The new Purifying Cleanser is very nice too and offers more benefits of the Rare Minerals Activesoil Complex, which is supposed to help speed cell renewal and turnover. I like the exfoliating properties of the MD Formulations cleanser and use it with the BE moisturizers and the Nighttime Treatment, which I love.

Question

How often is it intended to be used?

I just purchased this a couple of days ago and am wondering how often it's meant to be used. It doesn't say once a week (like an exfoliater), or twice a day (like a facial cleanser) or any other direction for that matter.

I'd like to be able to use it once in the morning and once at night but I don't want to find out the hard way that I'm not supposed to use that way.

Everyone's face is different. I have a Golden Dark complexion and combination skin. If I was more serious about getting my skin in order, I would cleanse my face once in the morning and once at night. Twice a day is enough. Exfoliation, depending on your lifestyle, I would do twice a month (which would be once every two weeks).

md formulations is good to use on your face, but if you want to go down the cheaper route, kind of like those "home remedies", use baby wipes that nourish the skin and is soft. Huggies with Shea Butter is good or the Pampers Sensitive Wipes or the Pampers Thick Care Wipes are soft and will help clean your face nicely.

Also when applying makeup, less is more. You want to look natural. You're already beautiful. The makeup is just enhancing that beauty and helps you feel beautiful from the inside as well.

Twice daily. However, when you first begin, it may dry your skin out a bit, so they recommend you use it once a day if drying occurs and then gradually increase use to twice daily.
