I have acne prone skin as well and I mix a bit of the self tanner into my regular moisturizing cream every 2-3 times I apply it to my body. It does not make me break out and it doesn't feel oily or heavy. It dries quickly and I wash it off after an hour or two and moisturize again. To make my face match my body a bit better I use the faux tan all over the face color.

I have acne prone and sensitive skin. I was worried that using this product would break my skin out. I used it on my face and it has yet to cause me any acne. I don't think it is clogging my pores or anything. It goes on great and I have no problems with it. I hope it works out for you too.

JUST B.E.COME YOUR OWN MIXOLOGIST IT'S WHAT I DO FOR MY FOUNDATION. I PUT IT ALL IN AN OLD LABEL LITTLE RARE MINERALS CONTAINER. CAN TAKE IT ANYWHERE. I use the Faux Tan on my face without any problems. I also have acne prone skin. Make sure to use a small amount and blend it well. Don't put it on your skin while it is broke out. The zits will appear darker than the rest than the rest of your face. I learned this the hard way. ;)

Some would say yes some no, the true way to find out is pic a section of skin on your hair line that is usually under your bangs and put a dab on if you react within 2-3 days with pustuals then no if you don't recieve anything out of the normal then your good to go =] happy products= happy skin! enjoy!

Google the product. QVC has a video that shows you how to use a brush to apply it. It gets really dark if you use your hands to apply and if you use a brush to apply it in circular motions, it's less mess and looks streak free once your tan develops :) Don't forget to wash it off after about 8 hours. I normally apply it at night, shower in the morning and what's left is your tan!

I got the brush that was previewed on QVC and if you do not have a brush, you can apply this with gloves or bare hand but when you apply the product apply very quickly and wash your hands immediately after !! :) good luck it's a great product !

Do one section of your body at a time due to how fast the product dries. I start with my neck and work down. Rub in quickly but rub it in completely until it is all absorbed and there are no streaks. You can never rub too much. It also helps support your circulation! =) You may have to apply it a few different times until you get your desired look. Some need more some need less. Be SURE to exfoliate your whole body prior to application though. I usually shower at night and exfoliate, apply the product and the next morning shower again and it looks perfect! Be careful around feet, hands, knees and elbows..I use a different tanner for my feet and hands. One that sprays. Wash your hands very well after application. Enjoy!

i apply this sunless tanner twice a week just before i go to bed in summer with a pair of rubber gloves, this way no mess, no streaks, just pour a little in your gloved hand a blend in, i do my legs, arms, shoulders, and even my face, then if i need a little more on my legs i add one more application, when i wake up i have a tan that looks like i have been on vacation all summer.

I put it all the way up my neck, otherwise it might look funny... mix it with a quick absorbing body moisturizer.

You can use it on your face if you want! Didn't make my sensitive skin break out at all! Just go lightly. Or I often go up to my neck and use BE's faux tan all over face color to make sure my face matches my body.

I love this stuff bc it looks so natural!! I'm blonde/blue and pretty light with a smattering of freckles. I'll spread this all the way up my neck to just below my chin but I use a light hand and a little bit of Faux mixed with a little lotion (body lotion, face lotion, either one will work). That way you get a much more natural look, like you hung out at the beach all day instead of rubbed a bunch of self tanner all over :-) Good luck!

Yes, just make sure you rub it in very well. you can try it on your face but I wouldn't. I just use a darker face makeup to match.

Yes, absolutely. You should wear your screen everyday especially if you are going to be outside all day in the sun. Also re-apply every few hours if in direct sun all day. Have fun!

Definitely exfoliate and moisturize before using Faux! Otherwise it'll look bad -color will not be even at all. I've even mixed Faux with lotion and it worked great (like during the week after my shower, instead of just applying lotion to my legs i'll add a little Faux...it just keeps up the glow that much longer!) You can use your bare hands, gloved hands (powder-free gloves only! And maybe latex-free if you have a latex allergy) or the brush. I prefer using my bare hands most of the time...just make sure you do a smallish area (ie 1 leg at a time) and wash and exfoliate your hands in between so you don't tan your palms. I LOVE the brush that came with the Faux set that Leslie sells on the Q, but it seems to use a lot more product when you use the brush. However, I'll use the brush to buff my skin after I've applied Faux everywhere (depending on how lazy I feel that day lol!) Good luck!

I put it on before, let it dry, and then apply Faux Tan. I use the brush from Bare Escentuals - it's easy to hold, use, and clean off afterwards.

Oleta, my skin is a little on the dry side too but it is VERY important to exfoliate and moisturize before you use Faux Tan. If you don't you'll end up dissatisfied w/ the results. I would recommend applying lotion like crazy for a few days before you plan to use Faux. (like several times per day). You'll end up with a gorgeous, true-color glow! You can also mix some Faux in your palm with a little bit of your normal lotion and apply that way :) apply with your hands but make sure you do smallish areas (ie one leg at a time) and wash/exfoliate so you don't tan your palms! Any age spots, vericose veins, etc will look softened and not quite so apparent. This is a combo faux tan and bronzer, so you'll see immediate color, but when you shower that bronzer will rinse off and you'll be left with your gorgeous glow! (I know some gals see color going down the drain and think it doesn't work) My mom turned me onto this product several years ago and I've never used anything else since! (I'm 37 and my mom is in her 60s so it's definitely great for Gorgeous Gals of all ages!) Good luck!! :)

I apply it a few times a week, just once my tan starts to fade. One bottle will last me about 3 months

The bottle will probably last a good month. It looks small, however you don't use very much tanner. I will probably re-apply twice a week for a really dark tan and with two applications a week, it should last AT least a month or more.

Question

Do you stand naked for 2 hours for this to absorb in your skin???

I am thinking about trying this Tanner. I seen in reviews that some women are saying put on and wait 2 hours before you shower. What do you do for 2 hours while you are waiting, stand naked???? I imagine that you can't sit down or put on a robe or it would be on your furniture or all on the inside of your robe. I have never used a sunless tanner before. I know this probably sounds stupid , so I apologize for that.

You don't need to stand around naked for two hours. I'd recommend waiting a good 15-20 minutes while the tanner soaks in and is dry to the touch. I wouldn't, however, get your skin wet for at least 2 hours -- otherwise that may cause streaks or uneven color. I also wouldn't do anything that would cause you to sweat, which could also cause streaks. This tanner is absolutely fantastic, and by far the best I've used (and since I don't tan easily at the beach, I've tried them all!).

Question

Why is it necessary for you to use Parabens?

As a breast cancer survivor I have been very pleased that your products don't contain parabens...why put them in your sunless tanner? I know it can be done since there are other manufacturers out there that have done it.

Question

Will or does this rub off on clothing?

I have a fear of sunless tanning lotions, fear it will rub off on my clothing and ruin them. I like wearing white in the summer and I would like my whites to stay white and not have brown streaks on them:) If anyone could tell me their experience, that would help in my decision to purchase.
